2021년 11월 변해원 교수가 스위스 뇌과학회 국제학술대회(IF=3.39)에서 최우수상을 수상하였습니다. In November 2021, Professor Byeon received the Grand Prize at the Swiss Neuroscience Conference (IF=3.39).

변 교수는 작년 9월 인제대에 부임한 이후 2021년 10월까지 1년 동안 22편의 SCIE급 저널을 단독저자(혼자서)로 출판했습니다. 지난 10년간 총 178편의 학술논문과 101편의 학술대회논문을 주저자(제1저자, 교신저자)로 발표해 누적 연구 실적 세계 상위 7.5% 이내 연구자로 선정되며 짧은 기간 동안 메디컬 빅데이터 연구에서 괄목할 만한 성과를 거두었습니다.

변해원 교수가 부산교육청이 주관하는 2021학년도 동계 고교 윈터스쿨 운영 사업에 선정되었습니다. Professor Byeon has been selected for the "2021 Winter High School Project" hosted by the Busan Office of Education.

변교수는 부산교육청의 지원을 받아서 지역 청소년들의 인공지능 이해도 증진을 목적으로 겨울방학동안 청년들의 인공지능 이해도 증진을 위한 △챗봇 만들기 △인공지능 만들기 △인공지능에게 편견 학습시키기 등 다양한 실습을 제공합니다.

영국 언론에 소개된 변교수의 연구는 파킨슨 치매의 조기 예측 모델링입니다. 여전히 1차 의료현장에서 파킨슨병 치매 감별은 알쯔하이머 치매 선별 검사를 이용하는 상황입니다. 향후 개발된 예측 지표의 활용으로 파킨슨병 치매의 최적화된 임상 검사가 가능할 전망입니다.

변해원 교수가 2022년 1학기부터 인제대학교 BK21사업 참여 대학원 "항노화디지털헬스케어학과"의 참여 교수로 활동합니다. 변 교수는 향후 BK21(4단계:2020-2026)사업에 참여하면서 항노화디지털헬스케어 학과의 석,박사 학생들을 지도할 예정입니다.

변해원 교수가 2022년 2학기 USG공유대학(울산경남형 공유대학)의 공통교양 모듈을 개발합니다. 개발된 교육묘듈은 "인공지능을 위한 빅데이터의 이해와 활용"입니다. 개발된 강좌는 USG참여 대학 학생들을 위해서 온라인 수업의 형태로 제공될 예정입니다.

엄가영 연구원, 빈선재 연구원이 2022년 5월에 개최되는 "제8회 산재보험패널 학술대회"의 대학원생 학술논문 경진대회에서 논문을 발표합니다. 연구원들이 발표하는 논문의 주제는 "잠재성장모형을 이용한 산재환자의 직장 복귀후 업무능력 예측"입니다. 이번 학술대회는 연구계획서 기준으로 1차로 선별한 연구들만 발표의 기회가 주어지며, 최우수상은 200만원의 상금이 주어질 예정입니다.

엄가영 연구원(제1저자)과 변해원 교수가 2022년 4월에 SSCI급 1Q이내 저널인 최신보건과학회지(IF=6.461, 1Q이내)에  딥러닝을 이용한 COVID-19이후 비만예측 자연어처리모델(NLP)를 게재하였습니다.  엄가영 연구원은 INJEM에 참여한 1년 남짓한 기간 동안 SSCI급 논문 1편을 주저자로 게재하였으며, 국제학술대회 프로시딩지 2편, 특허출원(공동발명자) 2건의 주목할 만한 성과를 보였습니다. 현재 연구원들과 함께 자연어 처리 분야의 후속 연구 1편과 잠재성장모형을 이용한 연구 1편을 진행 중(마무리 단계)이며, 데이터의 불균형처리 기법에 대한 장기 연구를 수행중에 있습니다.

변해원 교수가 5월 7일 토요일 14:00-16:00까지 서울시립과학관과 YTN이 주관하는 "토요과학강연회"에서 "질병 고위험군 예측을 위한 설명가능한 인공지능의 도전"을 주제로 토요과학강연을 진행합니다. 

INJEM lab 연구원들(변해원, 엄가영, 빈선재, 응웬비엣흥, 윤상현)이 2022년 6월 30일부터 7월 1일까지 대한민국 경주화백컨벤션센터에서 진행되는 제29회 대한기초의학 학술대회에 5편의 연구를 발표합니다. 대한기초의학학술대회는 우리나라를 대표하는 12개 기초의학협의체(ex. 대한생리학회, 대한병리학회, 대한약리학회, 대한예방의학회 등)가 참여하는 대규모 학술대회이며, 이번 학술대회에서는 노벨생리학상 수상자인 Ardem Patapoutian의 기조강연도 예정되어 있습니다.

INJEM 연구원들이 13th World Conference of Gerontechnology 에 3편의 연구를 발표할 예정입니다. 13th World Conference of Gerontechnology는 2001년 네덜란드 앤트호벤에서 처음 만들어진 후 2년 마다 개최되고 있으며, 한국에서는 처음으로 대구 엑스코에서 개최될 예정입니다.

변해원 교수가 삼방동 도시재생 뉴딜사업(김해시)의 추진 사항중 하나인 스마트 공부방 컨텐츠(사이버 강좌) 개발 사업(책임자: 건축학과 김민재 교수)에 참여합니다. 변해원 교수가 개발하는 컨텐츠는 "누구나 쉽게 WEKA로 단기간에 인공지능 찍먹하기"입니다. 이번 컨텐츠는 6차시로 구성되며, 노코딩을 이용한 지식플로우 방식의 AI모델링 교육을 통해서 삼방동 거주 중학생 및 고등학생의 AI 리터러시(인식도) 재고를 위해 계획되었습니다.

변해원 교수가 유럽 학술데이터베이스인 LP SCORE(유럽) 기준 누적연구실적 전 세계상위 5%이내 연구자(2022년 6월기준)로 선정되었습니다. 또한,  변교수는 미국 학술데이터베이스인 RG SCORE(미국)에서도 2022년 6월 기준 누적연구실적 전 세계상위 7.5%이내 연구자로 선정되었습니다. 변교수는 2022년 6월 현재까지 논문 310편 (Article 189편, proceeding 121편), 특허 17건, 프로젝트 수행 41개, 기술이전 3건을 수행했습니다.

변해원 교수가 2022년 인제학술상( Inje Distinguished Scholar Award) 수상자로 선정되었습니다. 인제학술상은 연구 활성화를 도모하고 연구 업적이 뛰어난 우수 교원을 발굴하기 위해 제정된 것으로, 최근 3년간의 연구실적(SCI저널의 JCR IF, 논문 수, 연구비, 특허)을 평가하여 계열(의학, 이학/공학, 인문/사회)별로 구분하여 총 3명에서 4명의 수상자를 선정합니다. 2022년 인제학술상은 모두 4명(의학 2명, 이학/공학 1명, 인문/사회 1명)이 선정되었고, 선정자는 상패와 함께  1인당 5백만원의 상금이 주어졌습니다.
