Know all Men by these Presents, That we Jane Lemming and John Mitcham of Warren County and of the State of Indiana, are held and firmly bound unto the State of Indiana in the penal sum of Five hundred dollars, for the payment of which, well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors, and administrators, jointly and severally, firmly by these presents, sealed with our seals, and dated this 9th day of March, 1848.
Whereas, the above named and bounden Jane Lemming has been duly appointed by the Clerk of the Probate Court of the county of Warren in the State aforesaid, GUARDIAN of the persons and property of Juliet Lemming aged 14 years, Rachel Leming aged 13 years, Joel Leming aged 11 years, Perry Leming aged 9 years, Amanda Jane Leming aged 7 years, and Ephraim Leming aged 5 years and Thomas Leming aged nineteen years all Heirs of Nathaniel Leming deceased and letters of Guardianship have been duly granted to her by said Clerk.
Now, therefore, the condition of the above obligation is to the effect following, to-wit: That the said Jane Leming shall faithfully perform the duties of her said trust as such Guardian: Then and in that case said obligation shall cease and be null and void, otherwise to be and remain in full force and virtue in law.

To the Hon the Judge of the Probate Court of the County of Warren and State of Indiana
The undersigned brother of JOHN McGAHAN late of said county dec'd would respectfully represent unto your Honor that at the time of the death of said JOHN he left an infant daughter SARAH McGAHAN under the age of 14 years for whom he was guardian at the time of his death (her mother having long since deceased). Futher that at the time of his death his letters of guardianship terminated, Therefore, in order for the better protection of her person and property, _?_ her minority, your petitioner respectfully requests that he be appointed said guardian during her minority.

REPORT OF SALE
October 1852
To the Hon the Judge of the court of Common Pleas of the County of Warren and State of Indiana
The undersigned Guardian of the person and estate of SARAH ANN McGAHAN minor heir of JOHN McGAHAN dec'd respectfully beg leave to report that in pursuance of an order of the Probate Court of said County to sell the real estate of said minor at private sale situate in said County of Warren and State of Indiana and described as follows: Beginning at the N.E. corner of the S.E. 1/4 of Sec. No. 26 in Township No. 23 N. of R. No. 7 West, Thence South 20 chs; thence West 16 chs, thence North 20 chs, thence E 16 chs to the place of beginning containing 32 acres more or less and _?_ on the plat in the subdivision of MICHAEL HENRY dec'd late of said County as No. 2. Also lot No. 10 on said plat and described as follows: Beginning at the S.E. corner of the E. 1/2 (?) of the N.E. qr of Sec. No. 35 Town and Range aforesaid, thence West 10 chs, thence North 5 chs, thence East 10 chs, thence South 5 chs to the place of beginning containing five acres more or less.
That on the 14th day of August 1850 I sold the above described lands at private sale to EPHRAIM LEMING of said County for the sum of three hundred dollars - one hundred cash in hand, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged - and further, that he executed to me his two several promissory notes for the sum of one hundred dollars each one payable in 12 months from the date thereof and one in 2 years from the date thereof. That being above the appraised value of said land.
And further that I executed to the said EPHRAIM LEMING a certificate of purchase for the same, which will entitle him to deed in fee simple under the direction of your Hon Court.
