Team 7462 is made up of Juniors and Seniors.
This sporty model is built almost exclusively using 3D modeled parts. It runs on a custom built 15" wide by 17" long base. It sprints around the field utilizing a Mecanum drive train. Underneath the "hood" is a set of 2 wheel odometry pods to ensure accurate field positioning.
It weighs in at an agile 20 pounds.
Team 8628 is made up of Freshmen and Sophomores.
This sturdy robot runs on a 15" wide by 15" long GoBilda base -- ideal for students new to robotics. It combines its Mecanum drive train with 3 wheel odometry pods to hit every mark it is instructed to hit.
Even with a 4 pound brass stabilization weight in its base, it weighs in a solid 22 pounds.
Both robots, during the 30 second autonomous period consistently place all 4 samples available to it in the high bucket and then parks for a 1st level "hang" resulting in a 38 point score. If called upon to start on the specimen side, then both robots almost always score 4 specimens and then park in the loading zone resulting in a 43 point score!
The clear hoops located on the top of the 7462 robot make it possible for it to achieve the 3rd level hang during tele-op's end-game -- something no other robot in our league has been able to duplicate!
