Throughout the 2015-2016 school year, AUS 8
th and 9
th grade Art students collaborated with the Columbus Museum’s teen advisory group on an international photo project that brought US and Kuwaiti students a better understanding of each other. As part of this collaboration, students interviewed each other via video messaging. Both groups of students selected questions that they responded to with photographs and an artist statement. Through the year, they shared photos and critiques of each other’s work building trusting relationships. This was an ongoing process in which the students were actively responsive, learned much about cultural awareness and created friendships from around the world. This project fulfilled the school's vision of creating global citizens.
