MPS DOCS

  • The communication at initial distribution was that the items in red are guaranteed if the bond passes, the remainder MAY require additional funding to be complete. Now, the district is stating that the colors used in this document are used for esthetic purposes only with no correlation to priority or funding.

  • The millage information communicated is misleading

    • Yes, the Marshall taxpayers will extend current millage through 2039. This millage rate is 7.05 mils. The mill will drop to 3 mils and the bond extends 30 years (end term is 2052, not 2041).

    • Yes, Albion taxpayers will pay 3 mils - this is a .69 increase from the last millage passed. Albion taxpayers millage has closed. 3mils will be taxed from 2022 - 2052 (30 year term).

    • See MPS Bond Application for details on millage studies and debt services.

On 4/27/2021, multiple responses from the same IP Address voted for the Watson St location thus making the survey invalid. Rather than opening up a survey that doesn't allow for duplicate voting, select members of the communities were surveyed. Now, the school board will vote on the location on 10/11/2021. Whatever decision the board makes, will be upheld regardless of resident input.
