About the project
In a world where digital chats often replace real conversations, Words for YOUth brings young people together to rediscover the power of face-to-face communication.
This Erasmus+ youth exchange is all about expressing yourself with confidence, listening actively, and building connections across cultures.
“Words for YOUth” is an Erasmus+ international youth exchange, with partners from 8 countries:
Romania, Spain, Portugal, Lithuania, Ukraine, Georgia, Armenia, Moldova
9 days (2 travel days and 7 activity days)
24 May - 1 June 2025
5 participants (18-30) and one youth leader (18+) from each country
The location is Vatra Dornei, a small picturesque mountain resort in the Carpathian Mountains of Northern Romania
Whether you want to become a better speaker, understand people from different cultures, or simply gain confidence in your interactions, Words for YOUth is your chance to step up, speak out, and make real connections!
P.S. this infopack looks better if you open it on your computer:)
Location
We chose a guesthouse in the outskirts of Vatra Dornei town that is close to nature, but also benefits fully from the comfort of modern life.
Search about the guesthouse more:
2-3 persons per room(max 4 persons). Each room has its own bathroom and toiletries.
Some rooms are designed as matrimonial, thus 2 persons might share 1 bed, but rest assured that beds are big enough and each of you will have own blanket.
Attention: We will be in the middle of the Romanian mountain countryside in a place that serves traditional Romanian food. For vegetarians / vegans might be hard to adapt because here most meals contain meat and cheese products. We will surely have vegetarian / vegan options, but please come with an open mind because you may need to eat a lot of potatoes, bread and polenta.
We will have many typical Romanian meals with meat, cheese, eggs, because most of the products served are from farms and households in the area, but will make sure to have suitable options for all dietary regimes.
MOUNTAINS ARE CALLING!

What to bring
a lot of jokes, souvenirs and swimsuit
(but if you want to read more, go on)
What to Bring:
Tech: Each team should have at least one laptop and a good camera/phone.
Clothing: Bring comfortable shoes and outdoor gear for a possible hike in the beautiful mountains. We’ll share weather updates before the exchange.
Personal Items: Bed linen and toiletries are provided, but bring your own towel and shower essentials for comfort.
Sustainability: We’ll provide water daily—please bring a reusable bottle to reduce plastic waste.
Health & Insurance: We have an emergency medical kit, but bring your own remedies for common ailments. Valid health insurance is mandatory (EU residents should bring their European Health Card).
Cultural Evenings
The Cultural Night is an opportunity for us to learn from each other, celebrate our differences, and foster meaningful connections.
All the teams must prepare some presentations from their countries in a creative way (keep it short and sweet, avoid lengthy presentations that may lose the audience's attention).
We encourage you to think beyond traditional food and drinks and explore the depth of the cultural heritage. Also bring the flag of your country.
