AI Safety and Crisis Response Protocol
Last updated: August 12, 2026
Influence AI includes AI chat features. This page describes the safeguards we maintain for those features.
You are always talking to AI
Every conversation in Influence AI is with an artificial intelligence, not a human. This is disclosed in the app's chat interface. AI responses are generated automatically and are not suitable for medical, psychological, legal, or crisis guidance.
Crisis response protocol
Our main AI chat feature is instructed, at the system level and with priority over all other behavior, to do the following whenever a user expresses suicidal ideation, self-harm, or intent to harm themselves or others:
Stop all coaching, analysis, and roleplay immediately for that response.
Acknowledge what the user shared and respond with care.
Refer the user to crisis services:
988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988, US)
Crisis Text Line (text HOME to 741741, US)
Outside the US: local emergency services or findahelpline.com
Not resume coaching in the same response.
If a user describes being physically hurt, threatened, or stalked by someone, the AI is instructed to do the same and refer them to the National Domestic Violence Hotline (1-800-799-7233, thehotline.org).
Age requirement
Influence AI is for users 18 and older. The app is not directed at minors, and our AI chat features are not suitable for them.
Reporting
If you encounter an AI response that does not follow this protocol, report it to info@influenceaiapp.com or through Settings → Send Feedback. We review reports and update our safeguards.
