OBJECTIVES
To promote scholarly communication among academicians and researchers through a nationwide network.

To facilitate academic services such as plagiarism detection, citation tools, and e-learning platforms.
To provide training and capacity building for librarians, researchers, and faculty.
INFLIBNET
INFLIBNET is an autonomous Inter-University Centre (IUC) of the University Grants Commission (UGC).
It was initially a project under the Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA), Pune, in 1991, and became independent in 1996.
Located in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
INFLIBNET is a government-supported organization aimed at modernizing university libraries, promoting resource sharing, and facilitating access to academic and research information through networking and digital technology.
Connects libraries of universities and colleges across India.
Helps share books, journals, and research among institutions.
Provides software (SOUL) to automate library work.
Supports digital libraries and online access to information.
Runs Shodhganga for free access to Indian theses and dissertations.
Manages e-ShodhSindhu for access to e-journals and databases.
Maintains VIDWAN – a database of experts and researchers.
