Gail is the owner and head trainer/instructor of Infinity Farm. She grew up in Massachusetts and worked as a working student at Elmbrook Farm in Concord. As a working student, she had a privilege of working with Allen “Nick” Rodday, Maureen Markey, and Sally McCoy, as well as riding with Olympians Mitch Steege, Bruce Davidson, and Tad Coffin. Elmbrook Farm held USCTA (now USEA) events that Gail competed in and helped run.
Gail eventually moved to Dover-Foxcroft, Maine where she eventually incorporated Infinity Farm in 2003 through a growing interest with riders in the area seeking her as an instructor for themselves and/or family members. Gail’s heart was in eventing, but she had some health issues and turned to dressage to keep training and working horses. Gail has mostly worked with Judy Westlake, Mary O’Rourke, Petra Warlimont, Bryn Walsh, Deborah Dean-Smith, and Alfredo Hernandez. She learned so many aspects of training dressage as well as eventing. Gail has earned her USDF Bronze Medal and her USDF University Certificate and Diploma. Gail has attended many USDF Instructor workshops over the years as well. Gail has also traveled to Loxahatchee, Florida for many years bringing students to work with Judy Westlake for intensive rider workshops where riders also have “down-time” in Wellington, soaking up all that Wellington has to offer.
In the past, Gail has been a MeCTA Technical Delegate and representative. She coaches the University of Maine Equestrian Team and is currently the head instructor for the Foxcroft Pony Club here in Dover-Foxcroft. Gail as well as her accomplished students have won many competition awards through Maine Dressage Society throughout Maine as well as Region 8.
Gail loves to teach and encourage every student to go the next level. She will seek out what works for each horse and rider in order for them to succeed and form a partnership. Her passion is in education and helping riders understand aids and riding theory so that they may be able to apply it to their own horse and riding.
Sydney has been riding at Infinity since she was 5. She grew up a working student for Gail and participated in Pony Club. She obtained her C-1 rating and MDS Silver medal (First and Second level) as well as competed through Training Level eventing. Sydney has been restarting Thoroughbreds and young horses as well as training school ponies. She also coaches and trains a select group of clients through lessons and rides. Sydney is a live-in barn manager who manages our feeding program and makes sure our boarders and school horses are as happy and healthy as possible!
Ali is a Dover-Foxcroft native that grew up riding at Infinity Farm. She has been eventing since she was eleven-years-old and has a strong background in dressage. In addition to being a longtime student of Gail, Ali has ridden with and continues to take lessons from Judy Westlake, Audrey Bean-Bailey, and other professionals. When she was in college, she was a member of the University of Maine Dressage Team and competed in Intercollegiate Dressage Association shows around the region.
Ali now works here as one of our instructors who teaches here on Sundays. Ali is also certified to teach riding with the Maine Special Olympics, and has coached many riders each year at the Equestrian Special Olympics in Skowhegan over the past few years.
