Nicholas Apergis is Professor of Economics at the University of Piraeus, Greece. He is holding a PhD from Fordham University, New York. His research areas are within Macroeconomics, MacroFinance and Energy Economics. He has over 250 publications in international journals. He has publications in international journals such as: Economics Letters, Energy Economics, Energy Policy, Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions & Money, International Economic Journal, Journal of Economics and Finance, Manchester School of Economics, Journal of Economics and Business. Prof. Apergis is member of the editorial board in many journals (e.g. Energy Economics, Environmental Science and Pollution Research, International Advances in Economic Research etc.). He has been acting as consultant in many private firms and banks and has been serving in the board of directors of the Athens Stock Exchange.
Prof. Lawrence J. Christiano is the Alfred W. Chase Chair in Business Institutions, former chairman of the Department of Economics and professor of economics at Northwestern University. He has also taught at Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Chicago. He has received numerous grants from the National Science Foundation and is an Associate Editor of the Journal of Money, Credit and Banking. Prof. Christiano published in numerous journals, including the Journal of Economic Theory, the American Economic Review, and the Review of Economics and Statistics. In addition to his work for the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, he has served as a research consultant for the Fed's Board of Governors and the Federal Reserve Banks of Cleveland, Chicago, and Atlanta. He served as visiting scholar at International Monetary Fund and European Central Bank.
Yoto V. Yotov is Professor at the School of Economics of the LeBow College of Business at Drexel University, Philadelphia, and Research Professor at the ifo Institute, Munich. He also taught at Princeton University, Boston College, and the University of Munich. Yotov’s research is focused on international trade and the effects of trade policy, and his articles appear in the American Economic Review, the Journal of International Economics, the Economic Journal, the International Economic Review, the European Economic Review, and others. Yotov is Associate Editor at The Review of International Economics and at Economics Letters, and has been a Guest Editor for a Special Issue on “Economics Sanctions” at the European Economic Review. He has been an advisor for a many international organizations, governments, and think tanks, and his research has been funded by various organizations.
