Ms. Namrata Jawanjal

Currently, I am a research student at the Molecular Biology laboratory, Department of Biotechnology, College of Fisheries Sciences, Pukyong National University, Busan South Korea. I am working on a project: Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in fish Nile tilapia and Rainbow trout: Aim of this study is to identify single nucleotide polymorphism in Growth hormone (GH), Insulin-like growth factor (IGF), Myogenin (MyoG), and Myostatin (MSTN) gene's regions to evaluate the association of SNP variation with the growth rate of Nile tilapia and Rainbow trout fishes. These findings may be useful as part of the genetic marker kit and my interesting research area is Alternative splicing in cancer: The goal of this study is to find out the skipping exon and how it turns into tumors under the guidance of Prof. Hyung Ho Lee and Genetic Study of Schizophrenia under the supervision of Dr. Indranath Chatterjee.
