About Lewis Nguyen

Lewis Nguyen’s passion for handcrafted interiors was nurtured in Phu Vinh, a traditional weaving village in Vietnam. Growing up surrounded by bamboo and rattan artisans, he gained early mastery of intricate weaving techniques that shaped his design philosophy.

In 2019, he founded Indochina Light with the vision of bringing Vietnamese craftsmanship to the global stage. Beyond creating unique lighting pieces, his mission is to preserve traditional skills, empower local artisans, and blend heritage with modern design.

Dedicated to excellence, Lewis has pursued advanced training in weaving, design, and handcrafted production management, ensuring Indochina Light meets the highest standards of quality. Lewis Nguyen graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design from Hanoi University of Industrial Fine Arts in 2021, gaining a solid foundation in design and aesthetics. With expertise in handcrafted bamboo, rattan, and wicker lighting, he blends traditional Vietnamese craftsmanship with modern trends to create sustainable, artistic products.
