Indivisible Lumpkin was founded in early 2017, by a group of Women’s March attendees from across Lumpkin county. We shared a sense of motivation and unprecedented urgency, both for positive change and resistance to bigotry, hatred, and division that has swept our nation. Together, our group has grown and flourished, and we have engaged in political discussion and activism across our state and town. We have lobbied, written, marched, called, and organized in our mission not only to resist the Trump agenda, but to change our country for the betterment of all of its citizens.
We are a chapter of the Indivisible Project, a national organization that was founded in 2016 on principles of resistance and a progressive vision for the future.
