Last updated: March 29, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how IndiPdf collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the IndiPdf Android application.
IndiPdf is a PDF management app that allows users to scan, import, view, organize, protect, unlock, sign, split, compress, watermark, and manage PDF files and related images on their Android devices.
Contact email: legitroit@gmail.com
When you use IndiPdf, the app may process files that you choose, create, or manage, such as:
PDF documents
Images used for scanning, previewing, signing, or converting to PDF
Backup ZIP files that you export or restore
The app may store limited local app state such as:
recently opened files
pinned and favorite items
library layout and sorting preferences
dark reading preference
your saved display name inside the app
If you buy premium access, purchase-related information is handled through Google Play Billing. IndiPdf may locally store a premium status flag on your device to unlock purchased features.
Depending on your Android version and how you use the app, IndiPdf may request access to:
Camera: to scan paper documents or capture images
Photos / Media / Images: to import images, preview images, or convert images to PDF
Documents / File Access: to open, import, save, export, and restore PDFs and backups that you choose
IndiPdf uses your data only to provide core app features, including:
opening and displaying PDF files
organizing, rotating, extracting, and deleting pages
protecting or unlocking PDFs
adding signatures, annotations, or watermarks
compressing, splitting, merging, or converting files
saving files to your chosen device storage location
creating and restoring backup ZIP files
remembering your in-app library preferences
IndiPdf is designed to operate primarily on-device. Files created or managed by the app are generally saved to public device storage locations such as:
Documents/IndiPdf for PDF files
Pictures/IndiPdf for image files
IndiPdf may also use temporary cache files while processing documents. Temporary files are used only to complete operations such as preview, edit, merge, sign, compress, organize, or watermark actions.
The app may additionally mirror certain library settings and metadata into the IndiPdf public folder so that important user state can be recovered more safely after reinstall or restore scenarios.
IndiPdf can help you save backups to Google Drive or OneDrive through the Android system document picker.
The app creates a backup ZIP file from your IndiPdf data
You choose the destination yourself
You may select Google Drive, OneDrive, or another storage provider available on your device
IndiPdf does not automatically sync your files to cloud storage in the background
If you choose Google Drive, OneDrive, or another third-party storage provider, your use of that service is also governed by that provider’s privacy policy and terms.
IndiPdf may rely on limited third-party services or libraries for specific functions:
Google Play Billing: for in-app purchase processing
Google ML Kit / Google Play Services components: for document scanning features available on supported devices
Google Drive / OneDrive / other providers you choose: only when you explicitly export or restore using the Android picker
IndiPdf itself does not operate a remote server for storing your PDFs in normal app usage.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your files with third parties except when:
you explicitly choose to export, share, or back up a file
a purchase is processed by Google Play Billing
a device-provided service is used to complete a feature you requested
Your documents remain on your device or on the storage provider you choose until you delete them. Temporary processing files may be removed automatically by the app or by the operating system.
If you uninstall the app, Android may remove app-private data and settings. Files saved in public storage folders such as Documents/IndiPdf or Pictures/IndiPdf may remain on the device depending on Android behavior, device vendor behavior, user action, and storage conditions. Users should keep backups of important documents.
IndiPdf is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through a dedicated online service.
We take reasonable steps to help protect your data by keeping most document processing on-device and by using Android storage APIs for file operations. However, no app, device, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure, and users should maintain their own backups of important files.
You can control your data by:
choosing which files to import, scan, edit, export, or delete
using local backup and restore options
removing files from your device or cloud provider yourself
denying permissions, although some features may stop working properly
uninstalling the app
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice inside the app or on the app listing.
