Aamir A. is a Black and queer artist working between unceeded Kumeyaay territory (san diego, ca) and occupied Aulinta (santa cruz, ca). Aamir specializes in digital, gouache, and watercolor painting. He highlights intersectional fights for liberation in her artwork, drawing inspiration from his panafrican upbringing and Gullah-Geechee heritage. 

She uses illustration and graphic design as a medium for resistance against systems of antiblackness, white supremacy, colonialism, imperialism, patriarchy, and queerphobia. Aamir's artwork dares to re-imagine the world with radically hopeful brushstrokes.
