In short, rootwork is described as: "an ancestral form of alchemy which includes herbalism, mediumship and divination" cultivated by the spiritual teachings of those all over the African Diaspora. There is no "one size fits all" definition for those who practice this form of The Craft, finding it's roots in traditions from Vodoun, Hoodoo, Conjure, Brujeria, etc.

Rootwork is not a religion. It is a practice that one inherits by birth line. One is born into this practice. If someone is drawn or called to this line of work or practice, it’s usually because a family member (more than likely an ancestor) also practiced. Every family has a healer among them. Therefore, the gift is passed down from generation to generation in the bloodline.

Rootwork has been called many things (juju, hoodoo, witchcraft, devil worshipping and black magic) over the centuries with negative connotation. 

Before you go any farther, let us set the record straight... these are ancestral/traditional practices passed down and practiced all over the African Diaspora (including the ancestral traditions of enslaved Africans brought to the Americas and all over North/South America and the Caribbean). The only "black magic" we practice, is the magic we learned from those as black as we are. The only "devils" we worship, are the ancestors that came before us. The ones who despite all this world threw at them, continued their spiritual work to give healing & guidance to those who may not have had the skills to do so themselves. These terms were given to our type of magic as a way to control and suppress our natural-born abilities and traditional practices, in replace of someone else's religion. These terms were meant to guide us away from what keeps our culture alive; it's connection to its people both alive and those who came before us. We (rootworkers) keep their spirits strong so that we, as a community, grow stronger. 

Herbalism (herbal medicine) is the use of plants, roots, grass and weeds for therapeutic remedies. In my practice I frequently use herbs as natural remedies for all kinds of ailments and share that knowledge with my clients. I am NOT a practicing physician and you should always check in with your doctor before taking anything that you may be unfamiliar with. The information I give is based on my own research and personal use over the course of my 27 years of life, or those in my family. Always practice your best judgement before ingesting.

Mediumship is the practice of communicating with spirits. There are many different ways people express this talent or channel it in any and all different cultures and no two mediums are the same. Since early childhood I have been extremely sensitive to receiving and tapping into the energies all around me. Over the years I have learned to channel these gifts in different ways (see my Divination Service Menu for more information)

Divination means to prophesy, predict, foresee or gain insight into a situation by way of mediumship using tools such as the Bible, cartomancy (tarot, oracle and other types of cards), crystals, pendulums, a set of bones, etc. As an example, some people may have grown up with a mother, grandmother or other family members who would use tools for insight into and to help with their personal situations. This is a form of Divination.

I will give you 5% off  your next order for every (1) bottle or container of mine you bring back for reuse. For every TWO (2) non-Indigo Child brand glass bottles or containers you bring me I will also give you 5% off your order (one punch on your card). After ten (10) punches you will be eligible for 25% off your order and a new punch card!!

**All outside glass containers must be clean and have a proper way to seal it**

I am not responsible for the potentially shortened shelf life of my products in outside containers.

If you need to reschedule your appointment, it is preferred to do so up to 1-hour before your scheduled appointment.

After that I do charge a $15 rescheduling fee.
