The BOXERS Band is one of the Philippines’ most versatile, high-energy, and enduring live musical acts. Starting in the late 1990s as a session rhythm section backing top-tier Original Pilipino Music (OPM) recording artists, the group achieved mainstream fame through successful comedic musical acts—most notably Gladys & The Boxers and K and The Boxers.

With over two decades of continuous live performance experience, the band currently operates as a standalone show band. 3. HISTORICAL TIMELINE & EVOLUTION

Phase 1: The Elite Session Band (Late 1990s)

Before taking center stage, the core rhythm section operated as high-demand backing musicians for major concert producers and record labels. They accompanied leading Philippine pop and R&B artists, including Regine Velasquez, Jaya, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Kyla, Erik Santos, Gloc-9, and Ai-Ai Delas Alas.

Phase 2: "Gladys & The Boxers" to "K and The Boxers" (2000–2005)

The band partnered with comedian-singer Gladys Guevarra to pioneer a hybrid musical-comedy show format. Following lineup changes, comedienne-singer Kakai "K" Brosas took over as frontwoman, creating K and The Boxers.

Signing with Viva Records, the band released the nationwide hit single "Sasakyan Kita" (composed by Lito Camo). The track achieved Gold Record status, and the band earned the Best Performance in Bars, Restaurants, and Clubs award at the 2001 Aliw Awards.

Phase 3: Modern BOXERS Band (2006–Present)

Transitioning into an independent show band, The BOXERS Band established a permanent presence on Metro Manila's high-end lounge and corporate gig circuit. They maintain a balance between standalone event performances and high-profile collaborations backing celebrity guest artists.
