Introduction

Hello, my name is Kamadeva and I'm the narrator of this storybook! Let me introduce myself. I'm the God of Love and Desire, but I'm WAY BETTER than Cupid. I also have a bow and arrow like Cupid, but we all know that he copied me. Anyways, I'll be the one interviewing our three couples for this storybook. (Only fitting, right?) So, welcome to the "Love Stories from Indian Epics" storybook! This storybook will follow three epic couples that each have a unique love story to share. Through this storybook, we will learn about the triumphs and trials of loves by learning more about each couple's journey in love. The three couples that we are following are Rama and Sita, and Radha and Krishna.

First, we're going to have an in-depth interview with Rama and Sita. Rama and Sita are known as the lovebirds of the Ramayana and follow your typical "Love at First Sight." Or do they? Through their interview, I hope you'll gain a better look into their relationship since they'll be discussing the ups and downs of their relationship. And believe me, they experienced some UPS and DOWNS in their relationship.

The last couple we're going to visit are Radha and Krishna. Now, their story really breaks my heart. They were childhood lovers, but life tore them apart. There was always an unspoken love between them, but Krishna had many wives before life brought him back to Radha. Their love story is truly one for the ages, and I hope you enjoy their story of how they found each other again.

Through this storybook, I hope you guys and gals learn about the complexities of love and how we each have our own meaningful love stories. Love isn't just about the romance and the butterflies, but also the hardships and the growing pains. As a result, I hope these love stories will touch your heart just as much as they touched mine.
