Kids Online Safety & Smart Internet Course (Age 8–14)

Short, fun 6-lesson course (15–20 min each)

1. What is the Internet?

   • Internet = giant library + playground

   • Good things vs risky things Activity: Draw “Safe vs Unsafe” places online

2. Strong Passwords & Secrets

   • Never share passwords (not even with friends)

   • Make passwords like: BlueCat123! Activity: Create your own strong password

3. Spotting Tricks (Phishing & Scams)

   • “You won an iPhone!” → usually fake

   • Never click strange links or download unknown files Activity: Play “Real or Fake?” quiz

4. Privacy = Superpower

   • Don’t share: full name, address, school, phone

   • Check before posting photos Rule: “Ask a grown-up first!”

5. Kindness Online (No Cyberbullying)

   • If you can’t say it nicely in real life → don’t say it online

   • Block & report mean people Activity: Write 3 kind comments

6. Screen Time & Balance

   • Set timer: max 2 hours fun time/day

   • Tell a trusted adult if something feels wrong Final Promise: “I will be SAFE, SMART & KIND online!”
