## Overview
India Tiger ID ("the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how the App handles your data.
## Data Collection & Storage
### What we collect:
- **Device Information:** Device model, OS version, app version (for crash reporting)
- **Photos You Upload:** Only processed locally on your device for tiger identification
- **User Actions:** None — no analytics, no tracking
### Where data is stored:
- **All data stays on your device** — the App is fully offline
- Database (316 tigers + 151 reference photos) is bundled inside the App
- Any photos you take/upload for identification are processed in-device only and not saved/transmitted
- No data leaves your device unless you explicitly share it (e.g., via email, screenshots)
## Permissions
The App requests:
- **Camera:** To take photos of tigers for identification
- **Photo Library:** To select existing photos for identification
- **Files:** To read/write app data
All processing using these permissions happens locally on your device.
## No Third-Party Services
The App does not:
- Connect to external servers
- Send telemetry or analytics
- Use tracking SDKs (Google Analytics, Firebase, etc.)
- Share data with third parties
- Require account creation or login
## Data Security
Since all processing is local:
- Your photos and identification results are never transmitted
- Data cannot be intercepted in transit
- No centralized database to breach
## Children's Privacy
India Tiger ID contains no age-restricted content and is suitable for all ages. Parents can allow children to use it freely.
## Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. Changes will be reflected with an updated "Last Updated" date.
