Nazareth Primary School
With hearts brimming with pride, the Primary Section gathered to celebrate the 79th Independence Day of our beloved nation on 15th August 2025. The programme began with a warm introduction, followed by a hymn, prayer, and petitions that lifted our voices to God in gratitude.
Led by the school leaders — our Headmistress Sr. Stella Mary, Academic Coordinator Mrs. Vaishali Correia, and Teachers Mrs. Sujata D’Souza and Mrs. Levica D’Silva — the procession approached the flag post with reverence. The tricolour was unfurled, dancing proudly in the breeze, as the National Anthem, Pledge, and Flag Song resonated in the air.
The youngest voice of the day, Miss Janhvi Dubey of Sr. KG, spoke with innocence and conviction, touching every heart. A patriotic group song by the primary students followed, its melody echoing the love for our nation. This was further enriched by the speech of Master Jayden Jephin, whose words reflected deep devotion to the motherland.
Colours, rhythm, and joy filled the stage as students from Sr. KG to Std. IV presented vibrant dances celebrating India’s unity in diversity.
A thought-provoking skit reminded us all that freedom is not only a gift but also a responsibility.
In her address, Headmistress Sr. Stella Mary urged everyone to embrace their responsibilities with gratitude, echoing the school theme “Gratitude in Action.” She called on all to be true citizens, honor the sacrifices of the past, and build a brighter future by caring for all that we have and proudly living as responsible Indians.
The celebration concluded with the soulful strains of Vande Mataram and a heartfelt wish to all — Happy Independence Day!
