Independence Day Celebration at Nazareth Primary School
With hearts filled with patriotism, gratitude and pride, Nazareth Primary and Pre - School celebrated the 79th Independence Day of India on 15th August 2026 with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour.
The celebration began with a solemn Prayer Service, seeking God’s blessings for our nation, its leaders, our brave soldiers and all its citizens. This was followed by the hoisting of the National Flag, the singing of the National Anthem creating an atmosphere of unity, reverence and national pride.
The programme continued with inspiring speeches and a meaningful skit titled “The Real Freedom: Transforming India Begins with Me.” The skit conveyed a powerful message that true freedom comes with responsibility and that the transformation of our nation begins with each one of us. It reminded the students that every small act of honesty, kindness, discipline and responsibility can contribute to building a better India.
The school choir further enriched the patriotic spirit with a beautiful rendition of “Saath Chale Hum, Saath Rahe Hum,” followed by an inspiring address by the Headmistress, Sr. Stella Mary, who encouraged the students to become responsible citizens and active contributors to the progress of the nation.
The celebration came alive with colourful and energetic Independence Day dance performances by the students of Jr. KG, Sr. KG, Std. III and Std. IV. Their vibrant performances filled the gathering with joy, enthusiasm and a deep sense of love for the motherland.
The programme concluded with a heartfelt reminder to uphold the values of honesty, responsibility, kindness, peace and unity, and to work together towards building a stronger, more compassionate and progressive India.
It was a celebration of freedom.
