Who are we?
We are a community of people interested in learning about infectious disease modelling and its application in Indonesia's public health context. We hope to learn from each other and collaborate effectively by creating this community. Learning from the COVID-19 pandemic, we recognise that modelling is a powerful tool with significant impact. However, in Indonesia, its usage remains sporadic. There is a need for a communication forum to facilitate better communication and collaboration.
From the policymakers' perspective, there is a considerable appetite and need for experts in modelling. Our community aims to bridge this gap by making it easier for all stakeholders to communicate with each other. With this community, we also hope it will be easier to disseminate opportunities for scholarships, grants, collaborations, conferences, summer schools, and more among interested individuals from Indonesia.
What we do?
Our activities are designed to provide hands-on experience in modelling, foster collaboration, and offer networking opportunities. We offer a variety of workshops, lectures, research presentations, and symposiums that cater to both beginners and advanced modellers. These events are crafted to provide theoretical insights and opportunities for networking and collaboration. Our daily communications are done through a WhatsApp group. Please let us know if you are interested in joining! We will also update our upcoming and past activities through this website, please check our Events page.
