This Privacy Policy explains how Krepel Studio handles information in the Android application InDash: GPS Speedometer (package name: com.krepelstudio.indash).
InDash is a GPS speedometer and trip-statistics application. The app is designed to process location information primarily on the device to show current speed and calculate trip statistics.
Krepel Studio does not operate a server for InDash accounts, trip synchronization, analytics, advertising, or location storage.
InDash uses device location to:
display current GPS speed;
calculate trip distance;
calculate average speed;
calculate maximum speed;
maintain an active trip while the user has explicitly started recording it.
The app may access precise location and approximate location through Android location permissions.
When an active trip is running, location processing may continue while the screen is off or while the app is not visible by using a user-visible location foreground service with an ongoing notification.
InDash does not request the Android ACCESS_BACKGROUND_LOCATION permission.
Krepel Studio does not store latitude or longitude coordinates as trip history, does not build or save GPS routes, and does not transmit the user's route or precise coordinates to Krepel Studio servers.
For completed trips, InDash stores the following information locally on the user's device:
trip name;
date and time;
trip duration;
distance;
maximum speed;
information required to calculate average speed.
Trip history remains on the device until the user deletes individual trips, clears the app's data, or uninstalls the app.
The app stores local preferences such as:
selected measurement units;
selected theme;
selected language;
selected speedometer style;
vibration and sound preferences;
Free-version usage state;
local Pro entitlement state where required for app functionality.
These settings are stored locally on the device.
InDash does not require access to the user's photos, videos, documents, contacts, or other personal files for its core functionality.
The app does not upload or process user files.
InDash may request or declare the following Android permissions.
Used to obtain precise location measurements required for accurate real-time speed and trip calculations.
Requested together with precise location where required by Android's permission model.
Used to run the user-visible foreground service that keeps an active trip operating when appropriate.
Used to identify the active foreground service as a location-related service.
Used to show the ongoing notification for an active trip, including relevant trip status and controls where supported.
InDash does not request storage, contacts, AccessibilityService, Usage Access, exact alarm, or background-location permissions for its core functionality.
Location access is a core part of InDash.
An active trip begins only after the user explicitly starts it. During that active trip, the app can continue processing location through a foreground service when the app is minimized or the screen is off so that trip timing and statistics can continue correctly.
The foreground service stops when the trip is finished.
When the trip is paused, location processing may be reduced or stopped according to the app's current state.
InDash does not display advertising and does not use AdMob.
InDash does not include a developer-operated analytics system for tracking user behavior.
Precise location is not used for advertising or analytics.
InDash offers an optional one-time Lifetime Pro purchase through Google Play Billing.
Google Play processes the payment transaction. Krepel Studio does not receive or store payment card numbers, bank-account details, or other full payment credentials.
The app may receive purchase and entitlement information from Google Play that is necessary to activate or restore Pro access. A local entitlement state may be stored on the device for app functionality.
Google Play may process transaction-related information under Google's own privacy terms and policies.
InDash uses Google Play services location APIs to obtain location updates used by the GPS speedometer.
Google Play services may process device or service-related information according to Google's own privacy terms.
Krepel Studio does not use location received by InDash to build advertising profiles or to send precise location to its own servers.
Trip statistics, preferences, and active-trip state are designed to be stored and processed locally on the device.
Krepel Studio does not sell personal information.
Krepel Studio does not share precise location, trip routes, or trip history with advertisers.
The app has no account system and no cloud trip synchronization.
Trip history is retained locally until the user deletes it.
Users can rename or delete saved trips directly in the app.
Clearing the application's storage or uninstalling the app removes locally stored app data from the device, subject to Android system behavior.
Purchase records managed by Google Play are controlled by Google and are not deleted by removing local InDash data.
Because InDash does not maintain user accounts or a Krepel Studio server containing trip history, there is no separate server-side account-deletion process for the app.
InDash is designed to minimize data collection by keeping trip information and settings on the user's device and by not storing GPS routes or coordinates as trip history.
No method of electronic storage or processing can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Krepel Studio applies reasonable technical measures appropriate to the app's local-data model.
Users can:
grant or deny Android location permissions;
control notification permission where supported by Android;
stop or pause active trips;
delete saved trips;
clear app data through Android system settings;
uninstall the app;
choose whether interface sounds are enabled.
Some core features, including live speed and trip recording, cannot operate without the location access required for those features.
Krepel Studio may update this Privacy Policy when the app's functionality, permissions, SDKs, legal requirements, or data practices change.
The Last updated date at the top of this policy will be revised when material changes are made.
