Deep Learning IndabaX Ethiopia 2019

Artificial Intelligence (AI) provides us tools to solve problems that were traditionally understood to be challenging. One can only imagine the possible impact that this technology might have within our African continent in general and in Ethiopia in particular. However, evidently we lack human resources, as the representation of Ethiopian research scientists are scarce in this domain.

Motivated by this disparity a 3-day workshop is organized from May 2nd - 4th, 2019 at Wolaita Sodo University in Wolaita Sodo, Ethiopia. The workshop aims to train students, scholars, and enthusiasts on the basics of machine learning/deep learning as well as facilitating a platform to present and share their research and interests in the domain.
