Children with disabilities and their families often face limited or segregated recreational and social opportunities. The National Inclusion Project aims to address this by equipping recreational programs and community organizations with the necessary tools and training to serve all children in their communities. Their mission is to ensure that no child is left out and that children of all abilities can play, laugh, and learn together.
Accessible educational videos are available for students who are deaf or blind, covering various subjects for grades K-12. These videos can be searched based on state standards, subject, and grade level, and many are accessible without a membership. Families and school staff with at least one student who is deaf, hard of hearing, blind, visually impaired, or deafblind are eligible for a free, full membership.
Resources are provided to support educators of deaf children in the classroom and to help families understand the potential for their children’s futures. Many of these resources are free, including a collection of children's stories in ASL for kids aged 1 to 8 years.
