These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Inci mobile application (the “App”), developed by Olga Afanaseva (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Inci is an informational tool that reads cosmetic product ingredient lists — by barcode or photo — and estimates how likely a product is to clog pores, based on published comedogenicity data and the profile you provide.
Inci does not provide medical advice. Its verdicts, scores, and flagged ingredients are informational only, may be incomplete or inaccurate, and are not a substitute for professional advice. Product formulations and databases change, and skin reacts differently for everyone. Always read the actual product label, patch-test new products, and consult a qualified dermatologist or healthcare professional for medical concerns. You are solely responsible for decisions you make about buying or using any product.
Your use of the App is licensed, not sold. If you obtained the App from the Apple App Store, your license is also subject to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Apple Standard EULA”), available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. In the event of a conflict, the Apple Standard EULA governs the app license and these Terms govern the service.
Inci is free to use for scanning and viewing a product’s verdict. Inci Pro is an optional auto-renewable subscription that unlocks additional details:
Inci Pro Annual — $39.99 per year
Inci Pro Weekly — $9.99 per week
Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription renews automatically unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store account settings. Prices may vary by region and are subject to change; any change applies to future billing periods. Except where required by law or the App Store’s policies, payments are non-refundable.
You agree not to misuse the App, including by attempting to reverse engineer it (except as permitted by law), interfering with its operation, or using it for any unlawful purpose.
The App, its content, and its branding are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable law. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or content except as necessary to use the App.
The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App’s results are accurate, complete, or suitable for your circumstances.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any skin reaction, purchasing decision, or other outcome arising from your use of or reliance on the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid us for the App in the 12 months before the claim.
We may update the App and these Terms from time to time. Material changes to these Terms will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Tajikistan, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, except where mandatory local consumer law provides otherwise.
