InboxSentry ("the extension," "we," "us") is a browser extension that adds inbox-management tools to Outlook on the web. This policy explains, in plain language, what data the extension touches and what it does with it.
InboxSentry does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any of your data. It has no server, makes no network requests of its own, and does not use analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising SDKs of any kind. Everything InboxSentry stores lives only in your local Chrome profile, on your device.
InboxSentry uses Chrome's built-in local storage (chrome.storage.local) to remember things you configure, entirely on your own device:
Your stale-email threshold (in days), including any separate threshold set for priority senders
Your priority-sender list (names, email addresses, or domains you've added) and their assigned level
Any emails you've snoozed, and until when
Emails you've chosen to track for follow-up, their subject line, sender, and your reminder window
Snapshots built from your visible Outlook message list for the Contacts insights feature (sender/recipient names and message counts)
Your saved meeting-cost calculation history
Your chosen light/dark theme
None of this data is sent to InboxSentry's developer, to Microsoft, or to any other third party. It is not used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than making the extension's own features work for you, on your own device.
To power its features, InboxSentry's content script reads information already rendered on the Outlook web page in your browser tab — for example, a message's subject line, sender, and unread status, or the body of the email you currently have open (only when you use the Export feature). This reading happens locally in your browser. InboxSentry does not copy this content anywhere else; it is used only to display badges, populate the panel, or generate the file you asked to export.
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone. There is nothing to share in the first place — InboxSentry has no backend, no database, and no account system, so there is no server-side copy of your data for us to hand over even if we wanted to.
InboxSentry does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking service. It does not use the Microsoft Graph API or any other external API. The Contacts insights, meeting-cost calculator, and export features are all built with code that runs entirely inside your browser.
Your data stays in Chrome's local storage for as long as the extension is installed, or until you clear it yourself. You're in control:
The Priority, Stale, Contacts, and Cost tabs each include options to remove individual entries or reset/clear that category's data.
Uninstalling the extension removes all of its locally stored data from your device.
If you use Chrome Sync with extension data sync enabled, this local data may sync to your other signed-in devices via Google's own Chrome Sync infrastructure — subject to Google's own privacy policy, not ours — since we have no visibility into or control over Chrome Sync.
InboxSentry is a productivity tool intended for general use by Outlook users and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children, and given the extension collects no data on any server in the first place, there is no data of any kind — from children or otherwise — for us to hold.

Host permissions for outlook.office.com, outlook.office365.com, and outlook.live.com — so the extension's content script can run on the Outlook web pages you visit and add its features directly to the inbox interface.
InboxSentry requests no other permissions.
If this policy changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, note them in the extension's Chrome Web Store listing.
