In vivo Research Facility

The In vivo Research Facility was established to conduct laboratory animal experiments in Biomedical and preclinical research. The facility established the required infrastructure and obtained regulatory permission to conduct the animal experiments. This state-of-the-art facility allows scientists to perform various research experiments on laboratory animals. 


The CCSEA, Government of India registration

In vivo Research Facility, IIT Hyderabad is registered with the Committee for the Control and Supervision of Experiments on Animals (CCSEA), Government of India Registration No. 2220/GO/Re/S/2023/CCSEA. The animal experiments are performed in compliance with the CCSEA guidelines and work under the guidance of Institute Animal Ethical Committees (IAEC)

The Institute Animal Ethics Committee (IAEC)

The IAEC committee is formed per animal ethical guidelines and approved by CCSEA. The committee approves and supervises the animal experiments in the facility. The committee meets twice a year for animal research protocol approval and conducts a annual facility inspection.
