Privacy Policy for In-Math

Welcome to In-Math (referred to as the "App"), an educational Android application developed by Adixie Lab (referred to as "we," "us," or "our").
We built In-Math to be an engaging, safe, and effective educational tool designed for a diverse audience, including children, students, parents, and teachers. The App offers multi-language support and teaches foundational concepts such as alphabets, numbers, animals, fruits, vegetables, colors, shapes, and basic vocabulary through quizzes, coloring activities, and audio pronunciation.
As an experienced app developer, we prioritize your privacy and the safety of our younger users. This Privacy Policy is written in clear, simple English to help you understand exactly what information is collected, how it is used, and what rights you have. This Privacy Policy fully complies with the latest Google Play Developer Program Policies, the Google Play Families Policy, the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
By downloading, installing, or using In-Math, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App.
We believe in the principle of "Privacy by Design." Because In-Math is fundamentally an educational application, we have structured it so that you can enjoy its core features with maximum privacy.
To ensure a safe environment, especially for children, we want to be explicit about the information we do not collect:
No Personal Identifiable Information (PII): We do not intentionally collect your name, email address, physical address, phone number, or any other direct contact information.
No Account Required: You are not required to register, create an account, or log in to use the App.
No User-Generated Content: The App does not allow users to upload photos, videos, audio recordings, or personal documents to any public server.
No Social Features: There are no chat rooms, messaging features, or social networking integrations within the App.
No Precise Location: We do not request or track your device's precise GPS location.
No Intrusive Device Permissions: The App does not access your contacts, camera, or microphone. The "pronunciation audio" feature only plays pre-recorded sounds from the App to your device's speakers.
Furthermore, In-Math is designed so that the majority of its features (such as coloring, quizzes, and vocabulary learning) can be used completely offline without an internet connection. When used offline, no data is transmitted from your device to any external servers.
While our company does not directly collect or store your personal data on our own servers, the App integrates standard third-party software development kits (SDKs) provided by Google to ensure the App runs smoothly and to display advertisements.
When your device is connected to the internet, these third-party services may automatically collect limited technical information.
We use Google Play Services for core app functionalities, security, and crash reporting. The data collected by Google Play Services may include:
Device Information: Device model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers.
Log Data: Time and date of app usage, crash logs, and diagnostic data to help us identify and fix bugs.
Coarse Location: Derived automatically from your IP address to ensure the App functions correctly in your region.
In-Math is a free application supported by banner advertisements provided by Google AdMob. To serve these ads, AdMob may collect:
Android Advertising ID (AAID): A unique, user-resettable string provided by the Android operating system used for advertising and analytics (see Section 4 for strict limitations on this regarding children).
Usage Data: Information about how you interact with the displayed advertisements (e.g., whether an ad was clicked).
IP Address: Used for fraud prevention and to deliver ads appropriate to your general geographic region (e.g., country or city level).
Because In-Math is categorized as an Education app designed for a mixed audience (children, students, parents, and teachers), we strictly adhere to the Google Play Families Policy to protect our younger users.
Upon opening the App for the first time, users will be presented with a neutral age screen. This helps us determine whether the user is a child (under the age of digital consent in their jurisdiction, typically under 13 in the US and under 16 in parts of the EU) or an adult (parent/teacher).
If the user is identified as a child, we enforce the following strict privacy measures in compliance with Google Play Developer Program Policies:
No Personalized Ads: We configure Google AdMob to only display non-personalized ads (contextual ads). These ads are not based on the child's past online behavior or browsing history.
No Advertising ID Transmission: We strictly block the transmission of the Android Advertising Identifier (AAID), SIM Serial, Build Serial, MAC address, and IMEI to advertising networks.
Certified Ad SDKs Only: We exclusively use Google Play self-certified Ad SDKs (Google AdMob) that have been thoroughly reviewed and approved for use in child-directed applications.
Appropriate Ad Content: We apply strict content filters within AdMob to ensure that all banner advertisements displayed are family-friendly and appropriate for children.
If the user is identified as an adult, Google AdMob may use the Android Advertising ID to show personalized ads that may be more relevant to the user's interests, strictly in accordance with Google’s advertising policies.
We offer an optional "Premium" version of In-Math through Google Play Billing. If a parent, teacher, or adult user purchases the Premium version, all banner advertisements are permanently removed from the App, completely stopping any ad-related data collection by AdMob.
Protecting the privacy of young children is our highest priority. In-Math complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the EU General Data Protection Regulation for Kids (GDPR-K), and other applicable child privacy regulations.
Educational Purpose: The primary purpose of In-Math is educational. The content is designed to be safe, enriching, and constructive.
No Direct Data Collection: We do not knowingly collect, request, or store personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13.
Parental Supervision: While the App is built to be a safe standalone experience for children, we highly encourage parents, guardians, and teachers to supervise children's use of mobile devices and participate in their digital learning journey.
Reporting: If a parent or guardian believes that their child has inadvertently provided us with personal information outside the scope of our intended app functionality, they may contact us immediately (see Section 11), and we will take immediate steps to investigate and delete any such data.
We take reasonable and industry-standard security measures to protect the integrity of the App and any limited technical data collected by third-party SDKs.
Encryption: Any technical data transmitted by Google Play Services or AdMob is encrypted in transit using secure protocols (HTTPS/TLS).
Local Processing: Most of the App's core educational functions operate locally on your device without the need for an internet connection, effectively minimizing data exposure.
SDK Updates: We routinely update the App and all integrated Google SDKs to ensure we are using the latest security patches and privacy controls.
Please note that no method of electronic transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we rely on Google's robust security infrastructure, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Because we do not require user accounts and do not store your personal information on our own servers, there is no personal user profile for us to retain or delete.
All App progress (such as quiz scores, unlocked coloring activities, or preferences) is saved locally on your device.
To delete your App data: You can simply clear the App's data in your Android device's Settings menu or uninstall the App entirely.
Third-Party Data: Technical logs and non-personalized advertising data collected by Google are retained by Google in accordance with their own data retention policies.
Depending on your region (including under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) or the European GDPR), you have specific rights regarding your privacy. Because we do not hold your personal data, the most effective way to exercise your privacy rights is through your device settings:
Managing Advertising Settings on Android:
You have complete control over your Android Advertising ID (AAID).
Open your device's Settings app.
Navigate to Google > Ads.
Here, you can choose to "Reset advertising ID" to clear your ad history, or select "Delete advertising ID" to opt out of personalized advertising entirely.
(Note: As stated in Section 4, if the App is being used by a child, the App automatically overrides these settings to prevent the collection of the AAID and disables personalized ads by default).
The banner advertisements served by Google AdMob may contain links to external, third-party websites or applications. While we restrict ad categories to family-friendly content, we do not control the privacy practices or content of these external sites. We encourage parents to supervise children when interacting with ads and to review the privacy policies of any third-party websites visited.
As internet regulations, Google Play Policies, and our App's features evolve, we may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
If we make material changes to this policy—such as integrating new SDKs or altering our data handling practices—we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. We will also notify users by providing a prominent notice within the App (such as in the "What's New" section of our Google Play Store listing) prior to the change becoming effective. We encourage you to review this page periodically for any updates.
