Nuclear weapons and climate change are the biggest threats to the survival of humankind. There are thousands of nuclear warheads in existence with many of them on hair-trigger alert and at risk of deliberate or accidental launch. “ Nuclear war should never be fought and can never be won.” These are suicide weapons.

Since 1997 the NDTF at All Souls under the leadership of Guy Quinlan, has conducted letter-writing campaigns, sponsored educational programs, it has liaised with UU congregations, interfaith partners and the United Nations’ NGO Committee on Disarmament, Peace and Security with the aim being to control, reduce and ultimately to eliminate nuclear weapons.

We believe that the vast amount of money being spent on these weapons should be directed to the health and welfare of all humanity.

NDTF activities have continued throughout the pandemic.
