Thank you for visiting my website!
I am an Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics, and the Centre for Decision Research at the Leeds University Business School and an affiliate Associate Professor (Grado 4) at the Department of Economics, Universidad de la República. I am a behavioural economist and I investigate the relationship between risk and behaviour using a range of tools, including economic experiments (and valuation experiments), around topics related to climate change, environmental hazards and the impacts of these on health. Part of my work is interdisciplinary, merging economics with public health and environmental health sciences. I am the co-director of the Healthy Buildings Network.
I am also part of the health economics research group at Universidad de la República, Uruguay, where I work on tobacco cessation policies and rare diseases (in partnership with Institut Pasteur), among other policy-relevant health topics.
My current affiliations:
I serve as the Uruguay country delegate for the Society for the Advancement of Behavioral Economics (SABE). I am part of the steering committee and the University of Leeds institutional lead for the Network of UK behavioural and experimental economists (BEE-UK). I am the treasurer for IAREP.
