Ibrahim Al-Hashimi built the iMuslim app. This policy explains what information the app uses and why.
Information we use
Location (optional)
If you allow location access, iMuslim uses your device location to show Qibla direction and, if you choose automatic prayer times, to help determine prayer times for your area. Location is used only for app features you request. We do not sell location data.
Data stored on your device
The app stores preferences and content on your device, such as language, prayer settings, bookmarks, favorites, reading progress, and notification choices.
iCloud (optional)
If you are signed in to iCloud, iMuslim may sync some of your data (such as bookmarks, favorites, and settings) across your devices using Apple iCloud. This data is handled by Apple’s iCloud service under your Apple ID.
Notifications (optional)
If you enable Athan or Iqama alerts, the app schedules local notifications on your device. You can turn these off at any time in Settings.
Network use
The app may connect to the internet to load prayer data, mosque information, Quran audio downloads, and similar content needed for app features.
What we do not do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use third-party advertising trackers in iMuslim.
Children
iMuslim is suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from children beyond what is needed for app functionality on the device.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Updates will be posted at this URL.
