Important Dates

The deadline for registration and abstract submission has been extended to 7 October 2023

The final program will be published and sent to participants on Monday, October 23rd.  We sincerely apologize for this minor delay and hope it has not caused any significant inconvenience.

Guidelines for presenters

A 20-minute slot suggests a presentation lasting 15 minutes, followed by a 5-minute question and answer session. A 30-minute slot suggests a presentation lasting 25 minutes, followed again by a 5-minute question and answer session. 

You can either send your presentation by email to shyfem@gmail.com the day before your session or simply give the presentation to the session chairs 15 minutes before your session starts.

In order to encourage personal interaction, all presentations and events are on-site and in person.  We may add options for listening to the speakers remotely and virtual presentations at a later time. Please inform us if you encounter any issues that prevent you from attending the conference in person.

Social events

On Tuesday, November 7th, we have organized a free guided tour at the Basilica dei Frari (San Polo, 3072, 30125 Venice) from 16:00 to 18:00. Following the tour, there will be a social dinner at 19:30 at the Osteria Al Nono Risorto (Santa Croce, 2343, 30135 Venice). Please be aware that the dinner, which is estimated to cost around 40 euros, is not covered by the conference budget.
