Our Story
Ocean Guardians was founded in 2008 by marine biologist Dr. Elena Marino after witnessing the devastating effects of climate change and pollution on marine ecosystems during her research expeditions.
What began as a small team of passionate scientists and conservationists has grown into a global organisation with projects spanning five continents and partnerships with leading research institutions, governments, and communities.
Today, we continue our mission with the same dedication and scientific rigor that inspired our founding, adapting our approaches to meet the evolving challenges facing our oceans.
