BUSI 1083: Microeconomics
A course covering introductory topics in microeconomics which include: demand, supply and elasticity; basic theory of consumer behavior; theory of the firm; production and costs; perfect competition, monopoly and oligopoly; efficiency of markets and externalities.
BUSI 2003: Macroeconomics in Global Context
A course with an overview of macroeconomic issues which include: the determination of output, employment, unemployment, interest rates, and inflation; monetary and fiscal policies; public debt; and international economic issues. Basic models of macroeconomics are introduced and principles within the experience of the North American and other economies are illustrated in the course.

A deeper understanding of theories of demand (supply) and the foundations of demand (supply) functions is developed through the introduction of mathematical notions of unconstrained and constrained optimization and linear and nonlinear programming
