Micronations are the political entities that self-proclaim to exist but are not recognized by any government or international organization. Micronations are different from secessionist movements and are often created and maintained by a single person or family group.
This standard does not include territories such as Taiwan (Republic of China) that have diplomatic relations with national recognition countries in the world that are not officially recognized by many states or are not accepted by major international bodies.
Some micronations have used coins, flags, postage stamps, passports, medals, and other items, which are rarely accepted outside of their communities.
Micronations were formed with very numerous reasons.
The activity of micronations is mostly ignored by recognized sovereign countries, unless a micronation violates the law.
