Background Information

Project Overview

The IMPROVET-AM Project, funded by the European Commission through the Erasmus+ program, aims to enhance the quality of vocational education and training (VET) in the healthcare sector in Armenia. With a special emphasis on dental prosthesis and healthcare assistance, the project also seeks to improve career guidance services for learners, their families, and the broader public. This workshop represents a key activity within Work Package 4 (WP4) of the project, focusing on sharing knowledge and best practices in career guidance and work services.

• Dates: December 11-12, 2024 

• Location: Yerevan, Armenia

• Participants: Policymakers, practitioners from Armenia and experts from France and Italy.

• Organizers: SEPR and APRO Formazione in collaboration with regional partners, including the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region, France, and the Piedmont Region, Italy.

Event Purpose and Objectives

This workshop brings together policymakers, practitioners and experts from Europe and Armenia to explore and implement innovative frameworks and models in career guidance and work services. The event seeks to create a collaborative environment where participants can:

• Exchange Expertise and Good Practices: Exchange experiences and knowledge to improve guidance and work services.

• Collaborate and Adapt: Work together to tailor approaches that address local needs and opportunities.

• Explore New Approaches: Develop practical frameworks for enhancing career guidance and work services.

Project Activities Related to Guidance and Work Services

• Study Visits and Observation Missions in Armenia to Analyse the Guidance and Work Services Frameworks, Protocols and Practices in Armenia: Already completed.

• Collection of Good Practices from the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region, France, and the Piedmont Region, Italy: Ongoing.

• Workshop with Armenian Policymakers and Practitioners: Yerevan, Armenia, December 11-12, 2024.

• Job Shadowing for Armenian Policymakers and Practitioners: April 2025 in the EU (Lyon, France, and Alba, Italy).

• Webinars and Community of Practice About Innovative Guidance and Work Services, Protocols, Methods, Practices and Tools: April 2025 to April 2026, online.

• Guide for the Implementation of Career Guidance and Work Services (expected in April 2025).

• Policy Recommendations and Protocols (expected in April 2025).
