This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, share, and protect information when you download, install, or use the iMPlayer mobile application (the “App”).

By installing or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please uninstall the App and stop using it.

1. Who we are

iMPlayer is a mobile application that helps users discover movies and TV series, view details, watch trailers, and save favorites locally on their device.

This App is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to TMDB, Google, Meta, Unity, or any other third-party brand mentioned in this policy, except as a user of their services under their own terms.

2. Information we collect

iMPlayer does not require you to create an account. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, postal address, or payment information.

2.1 Information stored only on your device

• Favorites: titles, IDs, and related metadata of movies or series you save.

• Cached images: posters and backdrops stored temporarily to improve loading speed.

This information stays on your device. We do not upload your favorites to our servers.

2.2 Information processed automatically

When you use the App, the following may be processed by the App or by third-party services:

• Device type, operating system version, app version, and language

• Network status (online / offline)

• Advertising ID (such as Google Advertising ID), where permitted by your device settings

• IP address, which may be processed at the network level by content, video, or advertising providers

• Crash, performance, and diagnostic data, if generated by the device or third-party SDKs

2.3 Information we do not collect

We do not collect:

• Precise GPS location

• Contacts, photos, camera, microphone, SMS, or calendar data

• Payment card or banking information

• Government ID numbers

3. How we use information

We use the information described above only to:

• Display movie and TV information, images, cast, and trailers

• Save and show your favorites on your device

• Operate, maintain, and improve the App

• Show advertisements through our advertising partners

• Measure ad performance and prevent fraud or abuse

• Comply with applicable laws and respond to lawful requests

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Legal bases

Depending on your country, we process information on one or more of the following bases:

• Your consent, where required (for example, personalized advertising)

• Our legitimate interests in operating the App, showing ads, and keeping it secure

• Compliance with legal obligations

5. Advertising

iMPlayer is free and supported by ads. We use ad mediation and advertising partners that may display personalized or non-personalized ads.

These partners may collect or receive device identifiers, IP address, and similar technical data to:

• Deliver ads

• Measure impressions and clicks

• Limit how often you see the same ad

• Detect fraud and invalid traffic

How to control ads on Android

Go to: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization

You may also reset your advertising ID from the same menu. Opting out does not remove ads. It only limits the use of your advertising ID for personalized advertising.

6. Third-party services

The App uses third-party services. Those providers process data under their own privacy policies. We encourage you to read them:

TMDB content and images are used under TMDB terms. iMPlayer is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.

7. Permissions

The App may request the following Android permissions:

• Internet: to load movie data, images, trailers, and ads

• Network state: to detect whether the device is online

• Advertising ID: to deliver and measure advertisements

The App does not request access to your contacts, camera, microphone, SMS, calendar, files, or precise location.

8. Data sharing

We may share information only in these cases:

• With the third-party providers listed above, as needed to operate the App and show ads

• When required by law, court order, or a competent authority

• To protect users, the App, or our legal rights

• In connection with a business transfer, such as a merger or sale, if one occurs

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

9. Data retention

• Favorites and cached images remain on your device until you remove them, clear the App storage, or uninstall the App.

• Third-party providers retain data according to their own policies and retention periods.

• We do not operate a user account database.

10. Data security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information processed through the App. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. International transfers

Some third-party providers may process information on servers located outside your country. Those transfers are governed by the providers’ own policies and applicable data-protection laws.

12. Children’s privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 years of age, or under the minimum digital-consent age in your country.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, contact us at mohamedtikota922@gmail.com and we will take appropriate steps.

13. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including the EEA, UK, and similar jurisdictions), you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information held about you

• Correct inaccurate information

• Delete information

• Restrict or object to certain processing

• Withdraw consent, where processing is based on consent

• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

Because most App data is stored only on your device, you can delete local data at any time by clearing the App storage or uninstalling the App.

For advertising choices, use your device settings as described in Section 5.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top.

Your continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as an in-app notice where possible.
