Co-Founder / Chief Executive Officer

Rakesh is a medical device expert, who has a keen understanding of technology, IP and regulatory matters. He has nearly 20 years experience and has led product development and software teams, with a focus on medical 3D imaging and visualization. Of particular interest, he has led a team to bring a leading dental implant planning software and surgical guide manufacturing product to market in 2009.

He has also held leadership roles in quality and regulatory at various startups, and has helped several companies obtain 510(k) clearance and CE Mark, and has managed regulatory audits from FDA and other notified bodies.

He holds BS degrees in Biomedical Engineering and Computer Science, an MS degree in Biomedical Engineering, and an MBA. He is an inventor on 15 issued patents (some of which he has filed pro se), and has filed several 510(k) submissions with the FDA on behalf of various clients.

Co-Founder / Chief Medical Officer

Albert is a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon who specializes in the treatment of facial trauma and craniofacial anomalies. This work has led to a particular interest in 3D imaging and printing of complex surgical models. He is an Associate Professor of Surgery, Pediatrics and Neurosurgery at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and serves as the Director of the Craniofacial Program and Chief of Pediatric Plastic Surgery at Rhode Island Hospital, as well as the Director of the new Lifespan 3D Printing Laboratory.

Dr. Woo’s clinical interests also include the surgical treatment of patients with craniosynostosis, complex and syndromic craniofacial abnormalities, and facial trauma reconstructions. He is nationally recognized as an expert in facial trauma reconstruction and was trained by Dr. Joseph Gruss, a world authority in this field. With more than 60 peer-reviewed publications, numerous chapters and a book, Dr. Woo remains committed not only to clinical excellence but also to advancing research in the treatment of craniofacial anomalies.
