Scholarship

Who Can Apply?

This scholarship will be awarded to Imperial Valley women attending high school who will be accepted to a four-year university/college or a community college/trade school.

Scholarship Award    

There will be multiple scholarships awarded up to $1,000.00 each.

Special consideration will be given to women studying any field of Agriculture, but will not be limited only to that field.

Application Deadline

Applications must be completed and emailed no later than March 15, 2025 

Disbursement

Scholarship funds will be awarded directly to the college or university upon verification of full- time enrollment, or can be paid directly to the applicant. Payments will be made after July 1, 2025 and will be awarded through the P.E.O. International Foundation.

Requirements

1. Completed and signed Imperial Valley P.E.O. Reciprocity Scholarship Application.

2. Personal essay limited to 1 page. Submit a typed, single spaced, #12 font, one page personal essay that provides insight into:  

   • Your educational and career goals, influences and experience.    

3. Two letters of character reference. Please limit reference letters to no more than 1 page per reference.  1 page letter must be from an academic reference and 1 page letter must be from a personal reference.:

   •  Academic reference- includes teachers, counselors, etc

   • Personal reference- includes an adult, preferably outside of school, that can share about who you are. (coach, employer, pastor, etc)

4. Current (unofficial) high school transcript showing cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.

5. Letters of Acceptance to College or University, or proof of intended enrollment at a Community College if available at this time.
