The Sergeant test contains 4 parts, each with a corresponding letter. To proceed to the Sergeant rank, you must have at least 20 attendance points, 4 of which is on combat trainings. You will then receive a test from an Officer when they think you're ready. When doing the tests you may choose 1 not to do, meaning you need to have at least 3/4 tests to be promoted.
First, there is G, which stands for Grammar. The Grammar part of the Sergeant test involves writing a paragraph about a problem in the Imperial Royal Guard and how you would fix it. You need to have perfect grammar to pass. Once completed, you send the paragraph to the Captain of the Guard or the Lord Commandant. If you make a minor mistake and fail, you must wait 1 day to retake it. If you have several mistakes, you must wait 3 days to retake it.
Next is the letter C, which stands for Combat. To receive the letter C you a Captain+ will set up a 1v1 with any guardsman and win 3/5 rounds of melee combat. Upon each request to 1v1, you must notify a Captain+ before beginning so they may spectate. If you fail, you will need to wait 1 day.
Next is the letter L, which stands for Military Law. To achieve the L letter you must pass the Military Law test. You can take the Military Law test by asking a Captain+. If you fail the Military Law Test you must wait three days before retaking it. Military Law is a required letter for Sergeant.
The T letter stands for Trainer. You will receive the letter T after taking a Sergeant Preparation Test. The Sergeant Preparation Test is a test hosted by any officer, the test examines if you know how to correctly host tryouts and gather new recruits for the Imperial Royal Guard. Once you feel ready to take the test, you can message an Officer+ and one of them will meet you at Nevarro when they have time. You will then have to perform a tryout/training, and the officer will observe whether you are doing it correctly or not. If you fail you must wait 1 day to retake it.
