Working togethe we will identify the areas of strength and needs for your learner to build content area skills as well as confidence in being a learner. Students are constantly working to make connections to their existing learning and what is coming at them that is new. Part of learning is a productive struggle of making mistakes, but taking the time to analyze and correct them in order to make sense of new knowledge. Learning how to learn is often the greaetest challenge our kids face right now as they expect perfection, not a process.
As a parent or guardian of a learner, your job is hard enough! Our younger minds didn't come with a user manual and often you reach a point of despair or frustration and then feel at a loss. With 26 years as an educator, and 13 of them as a Principal (10) or Assistant (3) I am extremely versed in coaching conversations with parents to build bridges with the school for an outcome of student success, especially if you have an atypical learner in your home. Sometimes, you don't know the questions to ask at a conference. Other times, it's assistance interpreting an extensive set of data that has beed provided to you. As a well versed educator I can support you as a parent in building the partnership with the school for the greatest success.
It is my goal to meet you and your learner where you are at. Tutoring services can occur at my home. Your home or work place (if applicable). Your child's after care place. Or online if it is preferred. I am extremely flexible and want to meet your needs to make it work for you. I am comfortable using Google Meets, Zoom, Skype, FaceTime (free platforms we can use of course!). You can let me know which one works best if you prefer online support.
GoogleMeets requires you to have a GMAIL account to work BEST.
Zoom is open to emails from all over!

Facetime is an Apple platform and needs a Mac, iPad or iPhone.
