impactCode Workshops

Sign up for our free coding workshops! Based on the student's age, they will begin to learn different types of coding languages; for the little ones, we'll start off with the basics, like Scratch, while older students can learn more advanced languages like Java, HTML, and CSS. Sessions will begin on July 15th and end on August 31st. To register, just fill out the Google Form attached and we will get back to you in 1 - 2 days.

Workshop Curriculum

For grades 3 - 5, we will be utilizing the platforms of Scratch and Replit. Through this, our curriculum aims to give students a crash course on basic animation and website development - by the end of our workshops, they'll be able to create their own website. Students will learn the languages of Scratch, HTML, and CSS. They will also have a good understanding about code structure, variables, methods, conditionals, and loops.

For grades 6-8, we will be focusing on more complicated skills behind applications across the world today - our curriculum will focus mainly around Java, an object-oriented high level programming language. Students will be able to use Java to create impactful programs and fun projects to showcase at the end of the workshop. They will also have a good understanding on more complicated subjects in Java, such as incrementing, complex conditionals, and arrays.
