How to download and install the software
If you have lost or damaged the software CD that came with your scanner, you can download the latest version of the software from the Rollei Download Center. Here are the steps to follow:
Go to the Rollei Download Center and select "Apps & Software" from the menu.
Scroll down to find "Diafilmscanner DF-S 500 SE" and click on "Show more".
Download the file "Diafilmscanner DF-S 500 SE.zip" by clicking on the blue button.
Unzip the file and run the setup.exe file to install the software.
Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation.
Connect your scanner to your computer using the USB cable and turn it on.
The software should recognize your scanner and launch automatically. If not, you can open it manually from the Start menu or the Applications folder.
How to use the software
The software allows you to scan, edit, and save your images. Here are some basic functions you can perform:
To scan an image, insert a slide or a negative into the scanner and press the "Scan" button on the software. You can also use the buttons on the scanner to scan or rotate the image.
To edit an image, use the tools on the right side of the software window. You can adjust the brightness, contrast, color, saturation, sharpness, and other parameters. You can also crop, rotate, flip, or mirror the image.
To save an image, click on the "Save" button on the software. You can choose the destination folder, file name, and file format. The default format is JPEG, but you can also save as BMP or TIFF.
