Aveiro is located between two international airports: Porto at 70 km, and Lisbon at 260 km, and connected to both by highway and railway networks. The highway allows an easy access by car from both Porto and Lisbon, however, travelling by train is also a good option.

• Lisbon Airport to Aveiro (by train)

  • Take the subway to Lisbon-Oriente train station – red line (duration ~15 min, 1.5 € cost); or a taxi/uber (~10 min, ~10 €)

  • Take the train from Lisbon-Oriente to Aveiro train station (duration ~2h30, ~28 € cost)

• Lisbon Airport to Aveiro (by road)

  • Take the highway A1 (duration ~2h30).

• Porto Airport to Aveiro (by train)

  • Take the subway to Porto-Campanhã train station – line E, Z4 ticket (duration ~40 min, ~2 € cost); or a taxi/uber (~30 min, ~20 €)

  • Take the train from Porto-Campanhã train station (duration ~1h, ~10 € cost)

• Porto Airport to Aveiro (by road)

  • Take the highway A1 (duration ~1h).

Driving from Porto to Aveiro takes around 45 minutes, from Lisbon around 2h30, both using the highway A1, and only 2 hours from Spain using the highway A25.
