You can have a live screening & discussion of Immortal at your festival or folk club

While the Immortal video is available on this website, there is nothing like seeing it projected on a big screen with other people. At the screenings held so far, people have sung along together, laughed - and cried together.

To date the video has been screened at three festivals and two folk clubs, accompanied by a panel discussion and questions and contributions from the floor, as well as songs associated with the artists in the video. These events have been extremely successful. Each of the discussions has been very rewarding - and very different. There have been amusing and fascinating anecdotes about the people in the videos, in-depth reflections on issues of change and continuity within the folk scene and Australian culture over the decades, and reflections on diversity, participatory culture, gender, race, and the future of the folk movement.

Where there is a panel, members are chosen from those available at the event, with a mix of 'old' folkies and younger leaders. This is because the video obviously appeals to long-time folkies, but importantly, it also aims to provide inspiration to the next generation.
