What is SINP Occupation In-Demand program? Â Can I apply for SINP without a job offer?
The SINP (Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program) Occupation In-Demand (OID) stream is for skilled workers who want to move to Saskatchewan, Canada. It focuses on jobs that are in high demand in the province but don’t require a job offer to apply.Â
If your job is on this list, and you meet the education and experience requirements, you can apply for provincial nomination. This nomination can help you get permanent residency in Canada faster. It’s a great pathway for people with specific skills to settle in Saskatchewan and build a future there.
SINP Occupation In-Demand (OID) questionnaire generally includes questions designed to assess if you meet the eligibility criteria. Here’s what to expect in simple terms:
Personal Information: Details about your name, age, marital status, and nationality.
Education: Questions about your academic qualifications (e.g., degree, diploma).
Work Experience: Details of your job history, including roles, responsibilities, and years of experience.
Language Skills: Your proficiency in English or French (supported by test results like IELTS or TEF).
Occupation: Whether your job is on Saskatchewan’s In-Demand Occupation List.
Settlement Plan: Questions about how you plan to settle and work in Saskatchewan.
Points Assessment: You’ll need at least 60 points out of 110, based on factors like age, education, work experience, and connections to Saskatchewan.
If you have at least 2 years of work experience and a degree, master’s, or diploma, and are ready to take an English test like PTE Core or IELTS, you can apply for the SINP program. After getting nominated, you can apply for Canada Permanent Residence and live in Canada permanently.Â
Only the occupations listed below are eligible for SINP OID right now. These occupations can change based on immigration targets. You can also apply to other provinces or states in Canada if you qualify for their programs. However, SINP OID is currently the best option without a job offer. For Express Entry, a CLB 7+ is recommended to improve your chances.
You need at least 60 points to apply SINP Program.
A nomination means that a province or territory in Canada (like Saskatchewan) has selected you to apply for permanent residency because they believe you have the skills or experience they need. For example, with the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP), Saskatchewan picks people with the right skills and qualifications, and gives them a nomination to help them apply for permanent residency. This nomination can increase your chances of being accepted into Canada.Â
Permanent Residence in Canada allows you to live, stay, and own a business in Canada indefinitely. You are required to live in Canada for at least 720 days within a 5-year period, but these days do not need to be continuous.Â
To submit your nomination or Expression of Interest to the Saskatchewan province of Canada, you only need to provide:
English exam score
ECA (Educational Credential Assessment)
ECA is a process that verifies your foreign educational credentials to make sure they are recognized in Canada.
You may qualify if:
You live outside of Canada or have proof of legal status in Canada
Are not a refugee claimant
Score a minimum of 60 points out of 110 on the SINP point assessment grid
Have a language score of at least 4 – Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 4
When applying for Canadian immigration through the SINP (Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program), the language requirement is relatively easy to meet. A CLB 4 score is the minimum, which is achievable for most people.
On the other hand, if you're looking to apply through Express Entry, the language requirements are higher. You need to score at least CLB 7 in each language module (speaking, listening, reading, and writing). This can be a bit more challenging, but with preparation, it's definitely possible to meet the requirements.
