Intelligent Mechatronics and Control Research Laboratory

IMCRL, directed by Dr. Min Li in Department of Mechanical and Civil Engineering, Minnesota State University, Mankato, focuses on electromagnetic field-based multi-target sensing, actuating and control, especially in emerging fields of intelligent manufacturing, smart sensing/actuators in robotics, bioengineering.

  • 06/20/2022, Dr. Min Li's paper titled 'Sensor Fusion based on Embedded-Measurements for Real-time three-DOF Orientation Motion Estimation of a Weight-Compensated Spherical Motor' was accepted by the journal IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement.

  • 06/15/2022, Dr. Min Li received the 2022 International Journal of Intelligent Robotics and Applications Best Paper Finalist Award (one of five finalists) for the paper titled 'Indoor Way-Finding Method Using IMU and Magnetic Tensor Sensor Measurements for Visually Impaired Users'.

  • 04/28/2022, 2022 Spring ME464 Mechatronics final project (Battle Bots) was successfully held in Trafton Science Center.

  • 04/07/2022, The combat robot team participated in the National Robotics Challenge held at Marion, Ohio, and got 3rd place in the Combat Robot competition.
