Exploring the Tenability of Shared Electric Mobility Alternatives: Adoption Intentions of eHUBs Among Private Car Users by Singh, H., Kathuria, A., Kavta, K., Bosehans, G., Bell, M.C. and Dissanayake, D. in Transport Policy
Unlike single-vehicle sharing schemes, eHUBs integrate multiple shared electric mobility options such as electric cars, e-bikes, and cargo bikes within a unified system to meet diverse travel needs. This study examines car users’ intentions to adopt eHUB services across six European countries, based on survey responses from 3,310 participants. Findings indicate that attitudes toward shared mobility significantly influence adoption intentions, while environmental beliefs show no significant effect. Socio-demographic factors, particularly age and gender, also play a crucial role. Car users display stronger preference for shared electric cars and e-bikes over cargo bikes, highlighting targeted strategies for increasing shared mobility uptake.
